Brief Introduction and Purpose of the Study: 
The study is to assist those involved in the construction industry in South Africa to reduce material wastage during construction. This will primarily be achieved by the implementation Building Information Modelling.

Outline of  the  Procedures:  The Survey will be sent out to participants via email 

Risks or Discomforts to the Participant: There will be no risks or discomforts to participants. 

Benefits: Although the participant will not benefit directly from part taking in this study, the participant will make a great contribution to the information required to reduce material waste with the application of BIM. 

Reason/s  why  the  Participant  May  Be  Withdrawn  from  the  Study:  A Participant may withdraw from the study at any time they choose to. 

Remuneration: The participant will not receive any monetary or other types of remuneration.

Costs of the Study: There will be no cost to the participant

Confidentiality: Information obtained from participants regarding the study will be kept confidential; it will only be accessible to the researcher and supervisor and will be disposed of correctly after 5 years.

Research-related  Injury:  There will be no injury to the participant with regard to participant.

· I  hereby  confirm  that  I  have  been  informed  by  the  researcher,  Ayesha Mall, about the nature, conduct, benefits and risks of this study - Research Ethics Clearance     Number: 2363778, 

· I have also received, read and understood the above written (Participant Letter of Information) regarding the study.

· I am aware that the results of the study, including personal details regarding my sex, age, date of birth,  initials and diagnosis will be anonymously processed into a study report.

· In view of the requirements of research, I agree that the data collected during this study can be processed in a computerized system by the researcher.

· I may, at any stage, without prejudice, withdraw my consent and participation in the study.

· I have had sufficient opportunity to ask questions and (of my own free will) declare myself prepared to participate in the study.

·I understand that significant new findings developed during the course of this research which may relate to my participation will be made available to me.
